AN OFFICER'S APPRECIATION
SALVATION ARMY'S STRONG ORGANISATION.
A military officer in a letter to a Salvation Army officer expresses his appreciation of the Salvation Army's war work in the following terms;— "I have seen the work of tho Salvation Army, particularly at Homo and in France, and cannot speak too highly of the splendid support Riven to our boys by tho organisation. In tho large military centres and cities in Great Britain I know of no other organisation which is doinjr such work <a9 the Salvation Army. The same is true concerning tho Western front, whero tho Salvation Army la doing noblo work. In saying this I recognise that all the organisation of this kind are doing thoir - best—the Y.M.C.A. and several others—all aTo doing splendid work. But.without wishing to mako comparisons. I must saythat in tho great military centres and cities no organisation is accomplishing tho same work as tho Salvation Army, and' this I attribute to its strong organisation. This is the secret of its success and I wish to add my appreciation of what is being done."
