The Premier (Air Ryan) in his policy .'■peech. made at Townsville, said: tha Government had reserved 3,684,43*2 acres, capable of settling 16,000 returned soldiers. A fruit canning factory i» to be established at a cost of £40,000. The Government will establish a State line of steamships, and arrangements will bo made to test saltpans on the coast, with a view to producing salt locally.
