Mr B: Deeley takes exception to a paragraph in our issue of November 27th in which it was stated" After his recent successes in Australia B. Deeley is sitting on the box seat. lie will refuse to ride anything that has not got a label on it for first place only, so tbs rumour goes.” Mr Deeley says that this statement is not true; taat he has enever for a moment taken up the attitude suggested by the paragraph; that he only returned from Australia on November 22nd and certainly had little time to consider the acceptance or refusal of any mount between tb© date of his return and tho date of publication.
