Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for strong but decreasing souther,y winds northwards of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, but freshening cast to northerly winds elsewhere. U'cather changeable and showerv in the east coast of the North Island, but expect increasing cloudiness and somewhat warmer weather elsewhere.
