LONG HOURS IN HOTEL
HOTELKEEPER FINED. Prcsa Association. OHRISTOHURCH, November 21. At the Police Court, Joseph Mandol, proprietor of the United Service Hotel, was fined 20s, with costs, for failing to properly keep a wages and timebook. F. Wcoler, an employee in the same hotel, was fined 5s for failing to sign a time-book according to regulations. Tho Inspector of Factories, giving evidence, said tho action taken wag owing to complaints of long hours worked by servants in the hotel.
