At the Education Board meeting yesterday tho acting-chairman (Mr 8.. A. Wright. M.P.) welcomed Mr E. McCallum, M.P.. who had been elected to represent the Marlborough district in place of the late Mr A. Mackay. Mr McCallum..in responding said that+here was great soreness over the amalgamation „pf_Welluigton and Marlborough, but bo was sure now that the" Marlborough people were satisfied that the board was doing its best to deal.fairly with them.
