TREASURE HUNT
Myall Bay beach will present a busy scono this afternoon, when a treasure buns in aid of the Mayoress’s Christmas Gift Fund will take plcac. The Lyall Bay Surf Club, assisted by members of tlie Maranui Surf Club, are putting forward this effort as their support of the Associated Sports Bodies’ appeal for funds for parcels for the soldiers. Hundreds of boxes containing tokens will bo buried on the beach tinder the supervision of Counctuor M‘ F. Luokic, and for the sum of Is anyone will bo entitled to dig for the hidden treasure. The prizes, which have all been donated, are ° a valuable and vaied nature. A tablecloth, valued at £5 ss, will reward some eager digger; there is a five pound prize, a three tailor-made skirt, brooches, n ° ckle "f handbags, and many other and norprize*.
