Nominations closed yesterday for tho Hutt County Council and Makara County Council elections, fixed... for—Wednesday next. As far as the Hutt,County is concerned, there will bo an election In tho Mungaroa Hiding only, and in each of the other ridings tno person nominated has been, declared elected. Frank Thomas Moore, nominated by John Herbert Haggerty and James MDale. has been declared elected as a representative of the combined, district, comprising Makar a County and John-c-onvilie Town Board area, on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. For flic representation of the Upper Hutt Town District and the Hutf County Council there will be an election, which will be held next Wednesday.
