CITY LEASES
The Commission set up by the Gov. eminent, of which Mr Justice Hoskingr was chairman, to inquire into the systems adopted by city corporations respectinsr the leasing of property owned by city councils, hare furnished their report to the Minister for Internal Affairs. The leases were to have been reviewed this rear, hut the Mayor (Mr J. P. Luke, C-M.G.Vdias received a communication from the Hon. G. IV. Bussoil statins' that the Government does not intend to bringdown legislation this session city lease*. The Tonn? of l*aso that now exist--will • be extend' cd Tor a further-twelve months.
