MILITARY SERVICE BOARD

YESTERDAY’S OASES. At yesterday’s sitting of tho Third Wellington Military Service Board Mr, W. H. S. Moorhouse presided, with Messrs H. J, Beswick and M. J. Mack, Captain P. Baldwin representing the military authorities. George Renner applied for exemption on tho ground that he was of German parentage, and his other relatives were in Germany. His parents were naturalised. In answer to questions the appellant declared that h© would absolutely refuse to go into camp. Tho case was adjourned for inquiries to he made by the military authorities. . Several cases of Union Steam Ship Company nautical officers and engineers were adjourned indefinitely. On the ground that he is a member of tho Second Division, the appeal of Ernest W. Redstone, commercial traveller,. Hataitai,. was allowed. The Board declined to make recommendations in the cases of Driver 6. W. Perrett, of Featherston Camp, and Private Thou as Currie, of Trentbam Camp. Fourteen days’ leave was granted in November in the cases of Private G M. Sparke. of Featberston Camp, and Private C. S. iLcahy, of Trentham. , , . - , A N. Avery, farmer, obtained leave from November 20th to January 31st, to carry on harvest, operations. Tho case of David Sullivan, driver, Berhampore, was adjourned for medical examination.
