Dr Michaelis, German Chancellor, Las issued a statement maintaining that certain revelations at the trial ot M. Sukhomlin ofi (Russian es-Mimster for War) support Germany’s contention that Germany was not responsible for the war. Dr Michaelis says the Czar cancelled the Russian mobilisation, but this order was thwarted, among others, by M. Samianoff, the Foreign Minister. Dr Michaelis asks, “Who is behind these pro-war criminals?” Aggressive plans, against Germany, he declares, had long been prepared by influential politicians in France, England and Russia, including M. Sukhomlinofl.
