APPOINTMENTS & PROMOTIONS OF STAFF AND TERRITORIAL OFFICERS. Tho following appointments, promotions, resignations and transfers of the undennentioed officers of tho staff and territorial force have been approved:— STAFF. Lieutenant (temporary captain) Digby E. G. Cardale, Now Zealand Staff Corps, to be captain. Captain F. A. "Wood, M.C., New Zealand Staff Corps, is appointed Mounted Rifio instructor (on probation) Featherston camp. , Honorary Major James O’Sullivan is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. TERRITORIAL UNITS. < Ith (Waikato) Mounted Rifles. Captain T. Paterson to bo major. Sergeant E. J. McGregor to be 2nd lieutenant. stb Mounted Rifles (Otago Hussars). 2nd Lieutenant E. T. Shand is appointed adjutant (on probation) to the Otago University Officers’ Training Corps, and is granted tho temporary rank of lieutenant whilst so employed. 7th (Southland) Mounted Rifles. J. 0. Shand to be 2nd lieutenant (temporary). 10th (Nelson) Mounted Rifles. . Captain D. W. Talbot is ,appointed president, courts-martial and courts of inquiry.
