POLICE AND CIVIL CASES. Mr S. B. McCarthy, S.M., presided over a short sitting or the Magistrate s Court yesterday, when the following criminal eases were dealt with: Two first offending inebriates had their bail of 20s estreated, and Henry Greenfield was '.onvieted and nned - and given the alternative of serving fourteen days’ imprisonment. CIVIL CASES. The civil sitting of the court was presided over by Mr W. G. Riddell, 0.M., who gave judgment for plaintiffs in the following undefended civil actions:— Cascv Bros. v.
