RESOLUTIONS PASS/ED.,. A meeting of the War Ipcaguc was held at tho Town Hall hast evening, ’ -under the presidency 'of the Mayor (Mr J. P. Luke, C.M'G.).'The following resolutions - were -ca Tried ; That this meeting,' of the War League affirms (a) tha.t New. . That the amount necessary to provide adequately for soldiers and their dependents should be raised (ajnongst other moans) by a special graduated income tax. ' , . ’ . That this league bring again to hhe notice of the Prime, Minister 1 the insurance scheme previously submitted by it to him. That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to the Prime Minister.
