APPEALS HEAkD YESTERDAY. The Third Wellington Military Service Board (Mr H. J. Beswick chairman) dealt with the following appeal? yesterday:— . , ■ . The cases of Herbert Wilson, Richard Charles Davies, and Reginald Singer, slaughtermen (on whose behalf Mr M. J. Reardon appeared) were adjourned indefinitely. An appeal was made by the mother of Frederick A. Swiney, warehouseman, of 11 Alpha street. Leave was, granted till August 22nd. In the Mowing cases leave was granted till August 22nd; —Martin D. Were, aerated water manufacturer; John Larson, clerk, employed by Townsend and Paul; John Caradus, second assistant land registrar, Auckland ; Christopher S. Bonasich, sanitary drainage flanger,. Abel Smith street; David B. Bateman, printer, Princess terrace, (rocommended_ for non-combatant service); Frederick C. Freeman, chef, New Commercial Hotel (recommended for non-combatam service); William Wilson, 80th Reinforcements, Feathertton; Frederick G. C. Fisher, mattress-maker, Johtisonville. ' ™ The case of Harold B. Walton, stamp clerk, Wellington,, was adjourned until September 19th. The appeal of Cyril A. Cameron,' cadet in the Railway Department, was allowed on the ground that he is not a reservist. _ „ In the case of Hugh O. Russell, farmer, Lower Hutt, leave was granted until November 14th. r The case ■of Harold . McKenni, assistant lighthouse-keeper at Cape Brett, was adjourned indefinitely. 'Henry J. Tolly, electrician, Zohrab street, K-ilbimie, was granted leave until September 19th. John Saul, wharf labourer, did not appear, and his appeal was dismissed. Eugene F. O’Sullivan, former, People’s Palace, claimed to be an Australian, and his case was adjourned till Thursday for further nquiry. The board adjourned until 10 am. to-day.
