The Chamber of Commerce has urged tho Government nqt to build wooden ships, as they will not bo speedy enough to elude submarines. The maximum will be fixed. Corresponding stens will be taken, to control butchers’ profits. The nrice of flour will bo standardised to enable bread to be sold at niuepence the quarter loaf.
