MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL
The fortnightly meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held lafat evening, the Mayor, Mr I'. Townsend, presiding over the following councillors-. Messrs Underwood, Hawthorn, Pollock and Robertshaw. Permission was granted to Mr -U Macgregor to remove ins fence back 20 foot bctw'cen bis section and Kongatai terrace, provided the owner plan.ed trees on the enclosure. . The Education Board notified its intention of renting the Miramar Town Hall at a rental of £1 os per week, which sum provides all furniture for the children. , In regard to the request of the education Board for a reduction of tno water rate for water supplied 1 ° the Worser Bay school, the council agreed not to grant the request. A motion that the Miramar coach be insured was rejected. Accounts amounting to £b4/ Xis Xd were passed for payment.
