On Wednesday His Honour the Chief Justice (t»ir Robert Stout) heard an apneal from the decision of Mr L. G. Reid. S.M., in which W. H. Trengrove, of Courtenay place, motor garage proprietor, was awarded £-20 damages against Patrick Cavanagh, of Kaiwarra, dairyman. The claim in the Magistrate’s Court arose out of a collision that took place on the Hutt road between a motor-car, owned by respondent, and some cattle belonging to Cavanagh. The appeal was brought on the ground that the evidence aid not support the finding, and that the respondent (Trengrove) had been guilty of contributory negligence. Decision was reserved. Mr F. M.
