AMOKURA BOYS
TRANSFERS TO MERCANTILE MARINE. The following boys of the Government training ship Amokura have been transferred recently to tho mercantile marine as ordinary seamen, having completed their term of training: —B. Hughson to Corinna, W. Raven to Komata, B. Penny to overseas service, R. Smith to interstate service, G. Better to Kaitoa. . J. Cook to Kamo, J. Bftrr to Kahika. F. iWilson and O. Denny have gone ashore. Tho following boys will join the Amokura next Thursday to fill the vacancies, caused by the above transfers: —G. K. Meatvard (Palmerston North), H. E. Benson (Nelson), F. W. Gibson (Christchurch). C. Milner (Christchurch),' R. •d Avers (Christchurch), E. G. Fitzwilliam ‘(Rotorua), V 7. G. S. Todd (Invercargill). O. J. Bartle (Kaipara), ana W E Adams (Wellington). Next, week the Amokura boys will go on their annual midwinter holiday leave of a fortnight. The'Amokura is to put to sea for her spring cruise in September. .
