REVOLT IN PORTUGAL

The Chamber of Deputies has approved the suspension of guarantees in Lisbon and neighbouring villages, and has also expressed confidence in the Government's measures to suppress the workmen’s revolt. All classes of workmen are co-opera-ting to suspend work for two days. The newspapers have stopped publication.
