REGARDING LOSS OF JAPANESE MAIL STEAMER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received Juno 24, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 24. Referring to the reported loss of a Japanese mail steamer, the Sccretaiy of the Postal Department has been officially informed that the vessel was not wrecked. AI! the mails were landed. A cable message from Tokio dated 16th inst. stated that the Nikko Maru was stranded on the,coast of the West Hyo province. Later she foundered.
