WAIHI GRAND - TUNCTXON. Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 20. A cable-gram from the London office of the Waihi Grand Junction Company states that the annual meeting will be held on June 25th. After writing off depreciation (A 14.152) and development redemption (A 31.445), the credit balance is A 49.796. This, added to the: credit balance from last year (A 8656) makes A 58.433 to the credit of o-rofit and loss. The interim dividend paid in November absorbed A 19.218, leaving £39,235. The directors recommend a final payment of 5 per cent, tax free, and that in view of the uncertainty of laboair conditions the balance of A 20.015 be carried forward without any transfer to reserve fund. The dividend is payable on June 27th. MURRAY CREEK, In his report for the week ending the 18th instant the mine manager of the Murray Creek Gold Mining Company, Limited, states that No. 4 level has been extended on reef 30 feet, the reef being of an average width of 3 feet. Only two samples have so far been taken, which, assayed 37 .and 39 dwts. Gold can be seen plainly in almost any part of the reef. There is a lot of water running out of tho face. During the week 344 J tons of quartz have been sent to the battery, making a total of 737 tons since the first of the month. N.Z. LAND AND MORTGAGE CO. Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 20. Other classes of stock sold at late rates. Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 20. At Burnside to-day 215 fat cattle were yarded. Prices declined from 20s to 30s. Extra prime bullocks £25 Ss, prime £l9 to £2O, medium £ls to £l< 10s, light £l2 to £l4, extra prime cows and heifers £lB, prime £l3 to £l4 10s, other £9 10s to £lO ss. Sheep—2so3 were penned. Prices for well-finished sorts were the same as last week. Graziers were in the market and the demand for lighter sheep was bettr. Extra prime wethers 54s 3d, prime 41s to 47s fid medium 36s to 38s fid, light and unfinished 29s to 34s fid, extra heavy ewes 40s, prime 3ts to 39s 6d, light inferior 25s to 295, others 21s fid to 245. Lambs —1118 were penned. Fats realised last week’s rates. Prime 28s to Sis fid, extra 395, medium 25s to 27s fid, unfinished 20s to 245. Tho Customs revenue received at Wellington yesterday totalled £3428 7s Bd.
