Keith ./Shaw lias been sentenced to death nt Katoomba lor the murder of George King, a commercial traveller, in April last. The jury strongly recommended accused'‘to. iu.efcy owing to his mental faculties lining below normal. His brother Lionel was a«xuitted. The twin brothers Keith and Lionel Shaw were committed for trial, on April 18ih, charged with the murder of Mr George King, a commercial traveller, at Katooinba. Keith made a remarkable confession. He admitted that he became possessed of an overwhelming desire to obtain King's diamond ring. He described his entering King's room with absolute pleasure, dealing his victim seven or eight blows with a hammer. Ho had no more conscience than in serving tennis balls. He secured the ring, which he buried near the front gate, then went to ned and slept. When arrested Keith said that he felt like a person in two parte, one part tpiito serious, the other aa if at a picture-show.
