CHINESE HOUSE RAIDED

A complete surprise. Press Association. AUCKLAND Juno 18. Last night tho Auckland police raided a Chinese house in Wakefield street alleged to he used as a common gaming-house, and arrested the proprietor and nineteen other Chinese. Tho Chinese were completely surprised, and submitted to arrest quioxly. As a sequel, Young Hee was to-day charged with being the keeper of a common gaming-house. Decision was reserved. Fourteen other Chinamen were fined £2 each for being found in a common gaming-house. 'The charges against five were withdrawn.
