PROBABLY WILL PLEAD GUILTY. Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 30. The cases of forty HunUy miners who are charged with taking part in a seditious strike will he tried on Monday. Mr Singer intimated to-day that in all probability all the accused would plead guilty. SENTENCE ADJOURNED. Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 30. When William Alfred Coleitan, a miner from Runanga, was brought up for sentence this morning for inciting a seditious strike at Fairfield, Mr Macgregor, Crown Solicitor,-asker that sentence be adjourned, he having been so instructed by the Government in . pursuance of the settlement of the strike terms with the miners. He disclaimed any wish to interfere with the magisterial functions. Sentence was adjourned for four weeks, and accused was released on his own. recognisance. THE STRIKE OVER. Prfeea Association. April 30. , The Paparoa miners who struck work to-day over the question as to payment for certain timeduring work which has been the subject for discussion at a previous conference, decided to-night to return to work to-morrow pending the conference to he held on May 9th, on condition that the increase, if granted by the conference, will date from to-morrow. For the present the men are resuming on the old rate.
