LADY LIVERPOOL FUND
Eastbourne branch. a t the monthly meeting of the EhstK .ue branch of the Lady Liverpool Fund this week, Mrs C. F. Page, of 'Muritai, handed in the splendid amount of X 55 2s 3d, being the net result of the art union for the horse presented by Mr Charles Russell, of Rona Bay, in aid of the Bed Cross Fund. Tho president, in proposing a hearty vote of thanks bo Mrs Page, pointed out that the splendid result was entirely due to the individual work of Mrs Page, who had stepped into the breach when there was a difficulty in getting anyone to undertake the onerous task. By her' untiring efforts Mrs Page had not only disposed of the 300 tickets originally aimed at, but had increased the number to 500, all of which had been disposed of. Tbd''resolution was carried by acclamation. A, hearty vote of thanks was also voted to the generous donor of the horse. The art union drawing was held on the Eastbourne bowling green last Saturday, the fortunate winner being ijr Claud Everard, of Wellington.
