Applications for the nse of the city recreation grounds (except Basin Reserve) are called for by advertisement. The Tire Brigade has a few vacancies for permanent firemen. Returned soldiers' are invited to sign their names on'the large Union Jack presented by Miss Beatrice Holloway to the Returned Soldiers’ Club. The Women’s Social Investigation will hold a meeting in the Victoria College gymnasium to-night. Drivers’ and vehicle license holders who desire renewals are notified that applications must be.made before April 20th.
