A SAILOR “WANTED.” FOR SHIP DESERTION AND BURGLARY. On Tuesday night a burglary tv a 3 committed at the premises of Nathan Phillips, second-hand dealer, Taranaki street. The window was cut with a glass-cutter’s diamond, and a number of gold rings and bracelets was stolen. Yesterday afternoon a man attempted to pawn the articles at another secondhand shop, but the police were at once communicated with, and he was arrested by Sergeant Willoocks. After the man was arrested it was found that he was “wanted” for ship desertion. He will be brought up on both charges at the Magistrate's Court thi* nip ruing.
