BOWLING

A team from the Wellington Club, consisting of Diddle, Moult, Jackman, and Berry, visited the Wakefield Club, Nelson, during the Easter holidays. The games both morning and atteinoon wore thoroughly enjoyed, and although tho visitors were too strong for the locals, the games were interesting and instructive, and these visits are a groat encouragement for a small club like Wakefield, says a local paper. Mr Eban expressed the thanks of every member to the visitors, and Mr Berry replied, stating how thoroughly they bad enjoyed the day and the pleasure of playing on so good a green. In fact, each visitor expressed surprise at finding what they considered one ot the host greens they had played on.
