CAMPAIGN FOR SUPPRESSION. Preeg Association. AUCKLAND, March 20. A public meeting, attended- by 1500 people, was held to-night to consider tho question of a campaign against venereal disease.', It was resolved: “That the soriorts inroads made by the disease on faiq' public healthy do-'.; mestic and social life of tho 'Dominion require most urgent stops on the part of the Government, hospital boards, Christian churches, and local bodies.” A committee was sot up to arrange a * further mooting in furtherance of the campaign. Tho Hon. G. W. Bussell, Minister for Public Health, in a sympatheticspeech, indicated that he was prepared to consider a grant of 'financial assistance to tariff, in., fu r " , therance/of tho 'movement. *
