DESERTERS ARRESTED
TWO CASES DOWN SOUTH.

DUNEDIN, February 27. Bartholomew Hayes was arrested at Outram last night on a charge of failing to report at ihe parade .of men who left for ca-mo on January 3rd. He was sent on to Trenthara to-day under military escort, to be dealt with in camp. Another deserter was arrested at Waikouaiti to-day and brought So Dunedin. His name has not been divulged so far.
