Tho coastal steamer Wootton is at present running sheep betaken tho Sounds and Wanganui. The Kaituna is expected, to get away from Wellington this evening for Westport. . At noon to-day the Knkapo is timed to leave Wellington for Greymonth.' Tim Kauri is to leave Wellington at: 'noon to-day for Westport to load for Wellington. Tho departure of the Karu from Wellington for New Plymouth and Greymouth has been postponed until to-day. Captain G. Wilkinson, of the Blenheim, went on holiday leave yesterday, and Captain J. Owen signed on as master temporarily. ■ Cathie, Dempster and Company advise that ' the scow Eunice is due at -.Wellington on Wednesday from Lyttelton to,-load for Wanganui. The vessel will probably get away on the day of arrival. The Putiki arrived at Wellington early this morning from Wanganui, and wont to Petone to put out a load of sheep. The' vessel will afterwards come ,to the King’s wharf and will sail at noon today for Wanganui. The Kamo was timed to have sailed from Greymonth at 11 o’clock last night with h full load of coal for Wellington. The vessel.is due here to-morrow morning. ■The coastal steamer Defender left Hokitika at 10 p.m, on Thursday with a. -cargo of timber and a ’few' bales oi •wool -for Wellington, where she is due early to-morrow morning. The vessel will leave here on Tuesday for Picton. Greymonth, and Hokitika. Tho coastal steamer John, which arrived at Wellington shortly before midday yesterday from southern ports, is to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for Wanganui, She is due hack here on Tuesday morning, and will sail in the evening on following morning for southern ports. _ Instead of tho Putiki going .on the Wellington patent slip on Monday the trawler Kora Niven has been substituted. The Blenheim will go np on the cradle at 8.30 a.m. on Monday, and will be followed by the trawler at 10.30 a.m. on the. same day. , The Nobel Company s auxiliary schooner Huia left Greymonth last evening with a load of timber for Lyttelton. On luor .wav to the Canterbury port the Huia.,will call in at Wellington to discharge some explosives. . Sooner than was anticipated tho auxiliary scow Magic got away from Wellington yesterday with a cargo of case oil for New Plymouth. The vessel will subsequently go to Puponga, Sandy Bay and back to Wellington. ~ Tho Hinemoa sailed again from Wellington for northern lighthouses last evening.

RIPPLE OMITS GISBORNE. Johnston and Co. advise that the coastal steamer Ripple will not visit Gisborne next week owing to the silting up of the river, therefore ho cargo will bo received for that port. The vessel is to leave Wellington on Tuesday for Napier via Akitio. She is due at Wellington on Monday from Napier.,,

VICTORIA FROM AUCKLAND. Hnddart-Barker and Co. advise tlia4 their steamer Victoria is now fixed' to leave Auckland on Tuesday afternoon for Sydney, where she is due . on. Saturday evening. The vessel is now on her way from Wellington to Auckland via Gisborne and Napier. THE~MAPOURIKA. The Union Co. advise that the Mapourika left Greymouth at 10 o’clock yesterday morning for Wellington via Westport and Nelson. The vessel is due hero late to-night or early to-morrow morning. MANUKA RUNNING LATE. The Union Co. aro advised by cable that the Manuka did not get away from Sydney until 1 o’clock yesterday morning direct for Wellington. The message adds”that'there are 103 saloon end lIS steerage passengers. The vessel is now not expected to reach Wellington until late on Monday night or early on Tuesday morning. HIMITANGI DUE TO-MORROW. The Chatham Islands Fishing Co.’s steamer Himitangi arrived at Lyttelton at 3.15 a.m. yesterday from the Chatham Islands. The vessel is to sail again at noon to-day for Wellington, wnere she is' due to-morrow. The Himitangi is fixed to leave Wellington on Monday direct for Waitangi. Whangaroa, Kaingaroa and Owenga (Chatham®). She will return to Wellington via Lyttelton. THE CORINNA. The Corinna is expected to reach Wellington next Tuesday from Dunedin via ports. The vessel is timed to leave here on Tuesday evening direct for New Plymouth, omitting the usual call at Nelson. MONOWAI FOR DUNEDIN. Owing to heavy weather on her pas. sage from Auckland the Monowai will not reach Wellington until this morning from Napier. The vessel will berth at No. 1, north (outer tee). Queen’s wharf, where she will put out 400 tons of cargo. The Monowai will sail at 10 o’clock to-night direct for Dunedin, omitting the usual call at Lyttelton. Only perishable cargo will be received at Wellington to-day. The . vessel is to leave Dunedin on Tuesday, Lyttelton on Thursday, and Wellington on Friday for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. MISHAP ON KITTAWA. While the Kittawa was discharging coal on Thursday evening with the much-discussed Burton block the tail of the hoisting gear carried away, but the mishap was not attended by any injury to the workers. A portion of the broken wire was thrown into the harbour, but as it may result in a steamer fouling it with her propeller the wire will probably be dived for and removed.
