Ans. and N Z. Cable Assn, and Ecnter. (Received December 6, 9.40 p.m.) LONDON, December 6. Sir Douglas Haig reports: There is considerable reciprocal artillery 7 activity in the Loos and Ypres area. Our aircraft on Monday made many successful reconnaissances, bombing a railway station and aerodrome. Our naval air squadron entered into many combats. It brought down four machines and destroyed two. One of our machines is missing. LONDON, December 5. A French communique states: There has been a calm on the whole front 'on the West. . Second-Lieutenant Nugesscr brought down two German aeroplanes, making his total twenty. (Received December 6, 9.10 p.m.) PARIS, December 5. Official: Our machine-guns completely checked a small attack north of Vaux. The usual artillery action is proceeding elsewhere.
