At this week’s .meeting of Ike French Club there was a reading of Moliere’s comedy “Le Medecin malgre lui." There <eas a very good attendance under the presidency of Mr Lattey,- who intro duced the comedy. Mr Lattey himself look the principal part, that of Sgana'elle, the sham doctor. Mie s Hind as the doctor’s wife, and Miss Mead as the ieroiue wore very effective. Minor parts were taken by Miss Lee and Messrs Adamson, Oooke, Hodson, -Whetton, White, Carter and Heginbotbam. Hearty votes of thanks to Madame DechanetMclntosh for arranging, the comedy, and to Mr Lattey Tor his part in it, were carried by acclamation* Mr W. B. M. Fea, manager for Gregg and Co., Dunedin, while on a visit to the Chicory Farm, Inchclutha, on Saturday, had a painful and unusual experience. He stooped to pat a cattle dog at a turnip field in the vicinity of the farm, when the animal snapped at his face, inflicting a rtasty wound, and then not content with that it bit Mr Fea severely on the left hand. On arrival at Dunedin, Mr Fea received medical attention. Strangely enough, when Mr Fea joined the‘second express at Balclutha on route for town whom ehonld he encounter hut his brother, Mr D’. M. Fea, also with a hand in bandages. Tbo latter, it seems, had met with an accident on his farm at Tahakopa attending to a chaficutter, a thumb and two fingers being taken off.
