BOWLING
PRESIDENT'S CUP.
HUTT v. PBTONE. The second series of games for the cup presented by the late Mr Orton Stevens, an ex-presidant of the Lower Hutt Club and Dr. M. W. Bose, an ex-preaident of the Petone Club, was played on the Lower Hutt green on Saturday afternoon. The fixture is an annual one and consists of three series of games, the winners of the "rubber" to hold the jup for the ansuing twelve months. Since the gentlemen named presented the trophy for competition—eight years ago—the Petone representatives have keen eucoeesful in winning twenty-one games of the twenty-three played. On Saturday the green at Lower Hutt wai m splendid condition, and notwithstandng the previous night’s heavy rain, it was on the keen side. As regards bowling there was some excellent individual play by members of teams, and : t was the combination of the Petone representatives that brought, them put on top in the aggregate points. The gam.es were much enjoyed and the hospitality extended to the visitors consributed, in a large measure, to the afternoon's enjoyment. The third "leg" of the "rubber’ has yet to be played, but as Petone has won two "legs" they are the holders of the cup for the year. The results of the games are as follow: P. H.
