O'Leary) was remanded until to-day on a change of the theft of a fox terrier belonging to Francis Williams. ilk Henry Grant pleaded guilty to stealing a tin of carbide and a tube of bicycle solution, the properly of Bernard Woodcock, and was 5 remanded until the 18th insc. CIVIL CASES. Before Mr L. G. Reid, S.M., judgment was given for the plaintiffs by default in Che following undefended civil cases: - J. M. Dent and Sons, Ltd., v. Butler, 13e, cost* ss; Salmond and Spraggon y. W. O. Wilkinson, X 9 8s sd. costs XI 3s «d; W. J. Edwards v. E. McCallura, X 9 8s Bd, costs XI 3# 6d; A. J. Hulme r. Charle* Koroneb, XI 9s, costs 10s. In the case of Hannah Jennings ▼. H. Galvin, judgment was given for plai«j tiff to secure possession of premises and the sum of 12s 6d with costs XI 12s. On a judgment summons Charles Edward Mullis was ordered to pay to F. W. Lewis the sum of X 9 14« in monthly instalments of XI, in default to under--o three 'days’ imprisonment. In the claim of A. W. M. Sal am an y. J. F. Hare, for XU Us for food# sold, the plaintiff did not appear and •he case was struck out with costs to ‘ho defendant.
