Serious floods have occurred in the Daly River district, in the Northern Territory, ,where the December rainfall totalled 2442 points, 10u2 points falling in twenty-four hours. Thousands of buffalo were drowned, and tho blacks were compelled to take to the trees. One rancher lost 300 cattle and 15 horses. Fears are expressed for the safety of tho settlors on the Lower Daly River.
