The art of making sweets in the home, instead of buying tko factoryproduced article, is one that many ladies would practise if fhev knew at what little cost of time and money it may bo cultivated. Ladies who buy sweets at, say, 4d per ounce, may be surprised to know that with a single threo hours' lesson they could make them at home for that price per lb. llr Rupert Croaker, who is an expert in the making of sweets, is now located at 17, Commercial Chambers, 31, Huntor street, Wellington, for the purpose of snowing ladies how to make confectionery of every description, and of the best quality. He visits pupils at their homes, and if at the end of a three hours' lesson they are not perfectlv satisfied of their ability to make delicious sweets; he makes no charge for his instruction.
