MARRIAGE AMENDMENT
The Marriage Act Amendment Bill was read a second time on the motion of the Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister for Internal Affairs. The Minister explained that the bill authorised the marriage of members of the expeditionary forces at short notice, without the three days' residence required under the ordinary The bill was put through committee, read a third time, and passed. The House adjourned at 11.50 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. to-day.
