CITY BTTFS'ET HOTEL. Mr P J- (“Paddy”) Griffen. late of the Pier Hotel, who has purchased the well-known property known as the City Buffet Hotel, is carrying out extensive structural alterations to the building. The plans for these were drawn by Mr j Charlesworth. architect, and are being carried into execution by Messrs Campbell and Burke, builders. The whole of the interior of the City Buffet is being remodelled and an up-to-date hotel newly furnished by the genial licensee, will be the result. Altogether some £SOOO is being spent in the improvements. On the ground floor there will be c large oval bar, modem in design. a vestibule, and a large diningroom. The first floor, when complete, will contain bedrooms. commercial rooms, smoking-rooms, and sitting-rooms, and the ■ second floor bed and sittingrooms. There is no doubt that in the near future the Citv Bnffet will be numbered among the most popular hotels in the city. •
