The Warrimoo, which is acting as substitute for the Monowai, arrived from Dunedin and Lyttelton yesterday. Captain A. Carson is in command of the Warrimoo. His officers are—Chief, Mr R. J. Reeves; second, Mr A. C. Kennedy; third. Mr G. McK. Smart; chief engineer, Mr J. McLean; purser, Mr F. A. Williams; chief steward, Mr H. Spurgeon. The Phyea in to load produce at Bluff to-day for Sydney. The Ngatoro is due at Wanganui tomorrow with a load of coal from Greymouth. Almost torrential rain at Wellington on Saturday necessitated a cessation of all work on the wharves. The Navua left Newcastle on Wednesday for Auckland, with a full cargo of coal. She is du© there to-day, and will proceed to Westport before re-entering tho Island service. The Indrabarab left Wellington at 7 o’clock yesterday morning for Gisborne and Napier for loading. She is due back here about July 21st to bunker preparatory to sailing tor London. The Corinna, due ’at Wellington today from New Plymouth, is to sail tomorrow on the return trip to that portThe Ngahere. which arrived at Wellington yesterday from Lyttelton, is to sail at noon to-day for Greymouth to load for Dunedin. Owing to delay through rain the Ngakuta will not be able to leave Wellington. until to-night for Greymouth, where she will load for Wellington. The Eemuera arrived at Wellington at 10-40 o’clock. yesterday morning from Timaru, and berthed at the Glasgow wharf to complete loading. She is to sail for London, on Thursday. The Niagara is due at Auckland this morning from Sydney, and is to sail tomorrow for Vancouver. At Sydney a new propeller was fitted to replace the damaged one. From London via Auckland and Whangarei the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Athenic arrived at Wellington at midday yesterday, and berthed at the King’s wharf to discharge. . The vessel is expected to leave hero en Thursday for Lyttelton. Heavy weather on the West Coast is causing a stoppage of shipping movements at Greymouth. The Kini, for Wellington, Pohorua for Lyttelton, and Kanna for Sydney are bar-bound in Grey. The Ennerdale and Kamo are outside. The Rakanoa and Komata loaded 1 for Wellington, are held up at Westport.

■ ULIMAROA ARRIVES TO-DAY. ,A wireless message received last evening from the Huddart, Parker liner Glimgroa, en route from Sydney, reports that the vessel will arrive at the wharf at Wellington about 7.30 o’clock this morning. To oope with the demand for tonnage to lift produce, the Union Company intend to send the Waihemo. due hero on Thursday from Son. Francisco to Lyttelton to load fr Australia. The mail boat Moana, also dup at Wellington on. Thursday from Sam Francisco, will go to Lyttelton to load chaff for Sydney. CONABGO AT LYTTELTON. The Christchurch "Press" says" Special interest attaches to the arrival of the erstwhile German-Australian steamer Altona at Lyttelton on Tuesday morning, from New York, inasmuch as she is the first prize ship to visit that port. With a cargo for Australian ports, the - Altona put into Port Phillip Bay from South Africa, and was seized by the authorities on August 20th, her name being temporarily altered to that of CB. British officers and a crew were signed on, and the vessel was despatched for London, via South Africa. At London such was the congestion at the docks that the CB, along with dozens of other steamers, many of them prize ships like herself, had to wait in the stream for about two months. Her arrival at New York under the Australian flag and the appellation CB, caused much interest in American shipping circles. She loaded for Lyttelton. Dunedin, and Australian ports under the auspices of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line. Her name has since been altered to the Conargo. She left the American port on June Ist, Throughout the' voyage fine weather was experienced, and’ on crossing the Pacific only one other steamer was sighted until arrival at Lyttelton.
