A beautiful service of genuine Sevres China, which was purchased from a famous Italian Collection, has been donated by a Wellington lady to be raffled for the above Fund. Made at Sevres, near Paris, in the world-famed National Pottery’ which for generations supplied the Royal Households of Europe with its exquisite wares, this particular set belongs to the period of LouiaJPhillipe, and bears the initials “L.P.” and the Royal Coat of Arms. It is in blue and gold, with ivory and gold border, and is decorated with cherubs, rosebuds, and beautiful cloud effects.
