ALLIES’ BIG SUCCESS
The Allies appear to bo mastering the Germans on the western battlefront. Several important successes are recorded this morning. There is good news also from the eastern battlefields, where the Russians in addition to other successes, have driven the enemy from the whole of the left hank of the Dniester. The Union Jack has been hoisted at Windhoek, the capital of German South-West Africa. The Union troops now have practically complete possession of the territory. There have been amazing scenes of' wreckage and pillage in London in connection with the outburst of public feeling against the Germans, caused by the Lusitania outrage. Enormous damage has also bean done to German property in South Africa. The Italian Cabinet has resigned, deeming that it did not possess the unanimous consent of the constitutional parties to the policy necessitated by the present situation. The British battleship Goliath has been torpedoed and sunk in the Dardanelles, with a loss of five hundred lives. .
