i Finality was reached in . the Magistrate’s Court yesterday of the case in which Patrick CaDaghan was charged with disturbing a-public meeting'in the fory street Missinni .flail in December last. The case had seen many adjourn--mcnts and partial-hearings, and, had reference to a -somewhat stormy election meeting held by Mr F. M. B. Fisher. rMx J. J, McCrath appeared for- ,the defence, and called evidence to prove -that although .the. meeting .was somewhat rowdy,; Callaghan, was not one of those responsible. The magistrate (Mr p. C. A, Cooper, S.M.) entered a conviction, and fined the accused £2 and costs 11s, or fourteen days’ imprisonment.
