AMERICAN INDIGNATION
A- correspondent describes the plains of Flanders as aflame with the final and most desperate battle which has yet taken place for Calais. The artillery fire has been tho heaviest and most terrible of the war. Whole battalions of Germans melted away, and the Allies’ losses were lamentable. The Lusitania outrage is stated to have set America ablaze with indignation, and tho Government may be forced to declare war. Serious anti-Ger-man riots have occurred in England. In the House of Lords, the Marquis of Crowe gave an account of the recent operations in the Dardanelles.
