The Westport Coal Company has agreed to subsidise £ for £ all contributions made by members of the Millerton and Granity Miners' Union to the Prince of Wales’s Fund- The men are contributing fortnightly out of their pay. In a letter to Mr Dowgray. chairman of the union, Mr Joachim, managing director, says he hopes the good example set may be followed in other places. A NEW PLYMOUTH EFFORT. Press Association.
