RECAPTURE OF A TRENCH NEAR NOTRE DAME DE LORETTE By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. ' ' PARIS, March 5. A communique states:—“We recaptured the greater portion of our advanced trench near Notro Dame de Loretto and secured 150 prisoners.” HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The Prime Minister has received the following cable message from the High Commissioner:— LONDON, March 5, 4.50 p.m. North of Arras, near Notre Dame de Lorette, the Allies recaptured an advance trench lost on Wednesday last, capturing one hundred and fifty prisoners. . The enemy has renewed the bombardment of Reims Cathedral. In the Argonno region, at Vauquois, the enemy’s counter-attack was repulsed, and fresh progress made. A number of prisoners were captured and the greater part of the village mastered.
