WARRANT FOR ARREST OF WELLKNOWN ATHLETE. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 7. Quite a sensation was caused at Lyttelton on Saturday when it was learned that a warrant had been issued for the arrest of a well-known athlete, and an ex-employee of tho Lyttelton Borough Council, for alleged theft from the corporation’s I amis. It is understood that the person implicated in tlje charge recently joined the reinforcements. The amount of tho defalcations is believed to be between £6OO and £7OO.
