Tho coastal steamer Wootton left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Akaloa (Guard's Bank) to load sheep for Lyt telton. The Arahura arrived at Greymouth,at 11 a-m. yesterday from Wellington via ports, and sailed on the return trip at 10 o’clock last night. She is due back hero to-morrow evening. The Anchor Company’s steamer Waverley is expected at Wellington to-mor-row from Tarakohe, and will sail in the evening for Nelson and West Coast. . The Westport Coal Company's collier Canopus, which sailed from Wellington last evening for Westport, will load at that port for Lyttelton. The Blackball Company’s collier Ngahoro is to leave Greymouth this morning for Lyttelton. LAUDERDALE LEFT BDITHBURG. The. Maoriland ’ Company’s steamer Lauderdale left Bdithburg, South Australia, last Saturday with a cargo ot salt and gypsum for Dunedin. INDRAPURA AT LONDON. The C. and D- liner Indrapura, according to a cable message received by Bannatyne and Co., arrived at London last Friday after a smart passage ot only 39 days from Wellington. Even allowing for a difference in the route and number of stoppages, as compared with other lines, cargo or passenger, the C. and D- steamers have established a high reputation for fast voyages. MARESFIBLD DUB SATURDAY. The New Zealand and African Company advise that tho Maresfield, from Now York, now discharging general cargo at Auckland, is expected to arrive at Wellington next Saturday. She has 1100 tons of cargo for. Wellington and is likely to sail from this port on Monday for Melbourne. STAR OF AUSTRALIA. The C.-and D. liner Star of Australia left Sydney on Saturday for Auckland, Napier and Wellington in continuation of her voyage from London. It m anticipated that the vessel will iPeaoh Wellington to-morrow week. MOANA FOR 'FRISCO. The Union Company's steamer Moana sailed from Sydney at noon on Saturday for Wellington en route to ban Francisco- She is bringing 20 passengers for New Zealand- The vessel is due here to-morrow morning, and win sail on Thursday at 3 p.m. for Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco. HIMITANGI LEFT CHATHAMS. The- Chatham Islands Fishing Company are in receipt o£ a wireless xaefisage announcing that the Himitangi sailed from Waitangi (Chatham Islands, at 5 p.m. on Sunday for Lyttelton, where she is due tomorrow morning. Ao the vessel may make a visit to Timaru before she comes to Wellington she may not he here till Saturday morning. In tho meantime the vessel is expected to Heave.
