[Bermudas is a British colony with representative government. It consists of 360 small islands, about twenty of which are inhabited, and lies 580 miles east of North Carolina and 677 miles from New York. Iho islands are noted for their climate and scenery, and are a favourite winter resort for Americans, who number nearly 30,000 annually. As originally constituted, toe Dominion of Omada was compos*! of the Provinces pf and Lower—Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. In the British North America Act, 1867, provision was made for the admission of British Prince Edward Wand, the North-West Territories and Newfoundland into ; Newfoundland alone has net availed itself of such provision until the present time.]
